Pages & Projects Policy

1. Overview

You and you alone carry the sole responsibility for ensuring that your Pages and Projects on Incitement comply with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations.

The following terms, as well as our Privacy PolicyCookie Policy, Community Standards, and Terms of Use apply to all creators, administrators, and managers of Pages and Projects on Incitement. You are responsible for ensuring that your Pages and Projects comply with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations.

2. General Policies for Pages

Pages and Projects should not impersonate, misrepresent, mislead, lie, break laws, abuse people or data, support, encourage support towards malicious causes or do anything else illegal. Incitement can and will take down your Pages, Projects, any of their content, and if necessary close your account if you misbehave.

Incitement is a platform for Businesses, Brands, and other organisations looking to support humanitarian- and social projects, and people looking to Volunteer their time, knowledge, and skills, to connect with Non-Profit Organisations, Social Enterprises, and other Social Purpose Organisations for the purpose of building a thriving environment and society for everyone. Pages, Projects, and overall content created by anyone that we consider to be intentionally or unintentionally not line with this mission will be removed.

1. Misleading or False Pages and Projects

Pages, Projects, and any of their content must not be misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive. Scams and Pages or Projects promoting false causes will be removed.

2. Impersonation

Pages, Project, and their content must not impersonate or falsely represent a brand, entity, or public figure. Where a Page, Project, or its content is being used to express support for or interest in a brand, entity, or public figure, it must make clear in the name or description that it is not an official representation.

3. Gambling

Pages, Project, and their content must not facilitate or promote online gambling, online real money, games of skill, or online lotteries.

4. Inaccurately Tagged Content

Pages, Projects, and their content must not inaccurately tag content or encourage users to inaccurately tag content.

5. Incentivization

Pages, Projects, and their content must not incentivize people to misuse Incitement features or functionality.

6. Malicious intent

Pages, Projects, and their content must not promote anything illegal, in violation of any laws or regulations, anything with ill or malicious intent, or anything that might causes damages or losses to people, planet, and organisations.

3. Promotions on Pages and Projects

Incitement does not support or endorse promotions on the Site in any way, and administering promotions on Incitement using our services is your sole responsibility and at your own risk.

Communicating a Promotion

If you use Incitement to communicate or administer a promotion (ex: a contest or sweepstakes), you are responsible for the lawful operation of that promotion, including:

• The official rules;

• Offer terms and eligibility requirements (ex: age and residency restrictions); and

• Compliance with applicable rules and regulations governing the promotion and all prizes offered (ex: registration and obtaining necessary regulatory approvals).

Required Content

Promotions on Incitement must include the following:

• A complete release of Incitement by each entrant or participant; and

• Acknowledgement that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Incitement.

Administration of a Promotion

Promotions may be administered on Pages and Projects, or within apps on Incitement. Personal Feed and friend connections must not be used to administer promotions (ex: “share on your Feed to enter” or “share on your friend’s Feed to get additional entries”, and “tag your friends in this post to enter” are not permitted).

Assisting Promotions

Incitement will not assist you in the administration of your promotion, and you agree that if you use our service to administer your promotion, you do so at your own risk.

4. Collection of Data on Pages and Projects

Collecting Data from Users

If you collect content and information directly from users, your Page, Project, and its content  must make it clear that you (and not Incitement) are collecting it, and must provide notice about and obtain user consent for your use of the content and information that you collect. Regardless of how you obtain content and information from users, you are responsible for securing all necessary permissions to reuse their content and information.

Automated Collection of Data

Your Page, Project or its content must not collect users’ content or information, or otherwise access Incitement, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers) without written permission from Incitement.

Calls to Action

Your Page, Project or its content cannot use information obtained from a person’s interaction with your Page’s call-to-action button for any purpose other than to provide the service associated with the call-to-action button. If you want to use this information for any other purpose, first obtain a person’s explicit consent.

5. Pages and Project Specific Policies

Your Pages and Project should not go against our Terms of Use, are your sole responsibility, are not endorsed by Incitement, should not contain profanity or otherwise harmful content, and are publicly visible.

1. Page and Project Names

Page and Project names must not include profanity, excessively incorrect grammar or punctuation, and must not consist solely of generic terms or locations. Profane language, including profanity that is partially obscured by asterisks or symbols is not permitted, as well as misused capitalization like using all capital letters in your Page or Project name.

2. Content Visibility

Content posted to a Page or Project is public and can be viewed by everyone who can see the Page.

3. Cover Photos and Profile Pictures

Your Page’s or Project’s cover photo or profile picture must not include a verified checkmark, and also must not include third-party products, brands or sponsors.

4. Post Preview

When sharing a third party link from your Page or Projects, you must not edit any elements of the post preview.

5. Upload Functionality

You must not misuse Incitement’s upload functionality in connection with your Page or Project, for example by uploading a statis image as a video, or uploading content in violation with our policies.

6. Name Changes

Your Page’s or Project’s cover photo or profile picture must not include a verified checkmark, and also must not include third-party products, brands or sponsors.

7. Regulated Goods or Services

Pages and Projects promoting the sale of regulated goods or services must comply with our Terms of Use and Community Standards.

8. Driving Traffic to Third Party Apps and Sites

You must not accept anything of value to drive traffic to an app or site that engages in traffic arbitrage, or one that contains a disproportionate volume of ads relative to content, or content that is highly sexual, shocking, clickbait, or promotes scams.

9. Sharing Content

Content you post to your Page or Project may be reshared by other admins and managers of the Page or Project to other Incitement Products connected to the Page or Project.

10. Limited Originality of Content

Pages and Projects must not post or share content that primarily consists of minimal original content.

6. Volunteer Policies

The following Volunteer Policies provide guidance on what types of Volunteer Roles and posts are allowed on Incitement and apply to all Volunteer posts on Pages and Volunteer Roles on Projects. Volunteering posts must comply with our Terms of Use as well as well as our Volunteer Policies.

1. Misleading, Deceptive, or Fraudulent Volunteer Roles

Volunteer posts must not promote volunteer opportunities that are misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent.

• You should not promote unclear Volunteer Roles for Pages or Projects that in violation of Incitement’s Terms of UseVolunteer Policies, Community Standardsor any of the policies on this page.

• If you’re sending people to your website to finish the application, your link should take them directly to the job post that you advertised on Facebook so that applicants can immediately submit an application. The link should not link to your homepage.

• Volunteer posts should not contain enticements without also providing a clear explanation of the role’s responsibilities and requirements.

2. Illegal Activities, Products, or Services

Volunteers posts must not promote employment or volunteer opportunities that involve illegal activity, products, or services, for example:

• Illegal criminal activity

• Use, service, or sale of illegal drugs

• Human trafficking

• Counterfeit documents or currency

3. Discrimination

Volunteer posts must not unlawfully discriminate against applicants based on any protected characteristics, including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family status, disability, medical or genetic condition or any other basis protected under federal, state or local law. Volunteer posts must comply with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination. Volunteer posts that encourage only certain protected groups to apply or contain gender-specific titles violate our volunteer discrimination policies.

4. Sexually Suggestive Volunteer Roles

Volunteer posts must not promote volunteer opportunities in a sexually suggestive manner. You cannot use explicit sexual language, imply sexual acts, or use images with implied nudity.

5. Adult Products and Services

Volunteer posts must not promote volunteer opportunities that require adult services or use of adult products. You must not promote escort services, volunteer roles that involve sex toys, volunteer roles that involve sexual enhancement products or services, volunteer roles that involve videos, publications or live shows that are sexual in nature or involve nudity.

6. Personal Information

Volunteer posts must not solicit personal identification or financial information from any potential volunteers. You may not solicit credit card information, bank account information, or government issued ID information.

7. Multilevel Marketing

Volunteer posts must clearly and fully describe the organisation or role it is promoting. Volunteer posts must not promote employment opportunities for organisations or business models that offer quick compensation for little investment, including multilevel marketing opportunities.

8. Impersonation

Volunteer posts must not impersonate a brand, company, entity, or public figure. This includes falsely representing an association with an organisation.

9. Drug-Related Products and Services

Volunteer posts must not promote volunteer opportunities that involve illegal or recreational drugs, products, and services. This includes but is not limited to dispensaries, vape shops, or hemp and cannabis specialists.

10. Profanity and Grammar

Volunteer posts must not contain profanity or bad grammar and punctuation. Symbols, numbers and letters must be used properly without the intention of circumventing our review process and enforcement systems. Profane language, including profanity that is partially obscured by asterisks or symbols is prohibited. The use of excessive symbols, characters, or punctuation is prohibited.
